All is getting set for the ultimate choir event as the Lagos State Choir Awards is set to crown the best choirs in State.
It is a known fact that solo music and musicians are been far more celebrated in Nigeria than choirs and choral groups. The organizer of the Lagos State Choir Awards is set to change the narrative with the awards events. The Amuwo Odofin Children Choir, one of the emerging choir, hoped to join the revolution soon. The organizers had stated that the choir award show is aimed to support, train and bring choirs together in a beautiful setting where people can learn, develop and thrive.
Entry Categories for Lagos Choir Awards
Entries for the Lagos State Choir Award will be in five (5) categories namely;
- Local Community Choirs
- Acappella Choirs
- School or University Choirs
- Gospel Choirs
- Choral Societies.
The show is aimed at supporting, training and bringing diverse choirs together in a beautiful setting to praise, worship, and uplift the name of God in a serene and powerful atmosphere.
WINNER OF LAGOS STATE CHOIR AWARDS
The winners of the Lagos State Choir Awards will part with a total sum of ₦5 Million (Five Million Naira).

Music contributes to people overcoming conflicts settings, through their social interaction. Music is the common language of the world and serves as a link between cultures. Perhaps, this event will accord Nigerian choir a higher rating in the international stage among the best choirs in the world.

Each choir is expected to register in their desired categories. After a complete registration, a spot will be reserved for registered choirs. Additional information will then be communicated.
