All candidates shall not be considered as fully registered for the competition and shall not be given the opportunity to perform until the €50 registration fee has been paid by the due date. All applications will then be reviewed and listened to. The applicants will then receive either a notification of acceptance or of rejection for the preliminary rounds in Nuremberg. In case of rejection the registration fee will not be refunded.

Participants of the Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg singing competition are reminded that payment of registration fee is compulsory, as applications without payments will not be processed.
Successful registration for the Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg singing competition will be invited to Nuremberg, Germany in order to take part in the competition in Nuremberg from July 2022 onwards must pay a participation fee of €170. All candidates will receive an allowance of €35 per day for the real duration of their participation in the competition. This sum will be credited to their bank account after the end of the competition.
By registering for the competition, the candidates unreservedly agree to accept the competition rules and all of the terms and conditions therein. In the case of any doubt, the German version of the competition terms and conditions shall apply.
Should the competition be cancelled for a valid reason such as, for example, war, public or political unrest, epidemics, flooding, fire, national mourning or industrial action by the entire or some of the staff, the Staatstheater Nürnberg cannot be held liable for this in any way by the candidates and therefore has no obligations whatsoever such as, for example, the payment of compensations or the reimbursement of expenses incurred.
