It is no longer news that the singing competition franchise, The Voice will debut in Africa soon. Over the past week, it was announced that registration is open for The Voice Africa Season 1, which will debut in 14 African countries.
The announcement of the commencement of The Voice Africa was made by its sponsor Airtel Africa in partnership with Fame Studio. Season 1 of The Voice Africa is opened to all fourteen African countries where where Airtel Africa has market presence. These includes Chad, Congo, DRC, Gabon, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganga and Zambia.
As with the Voice Nigeria, the competition promises to showcase raw talents in Africa alongside with high profile coaches.
How The Voice Africa Season 1 is Structured?
The Voice Africa season 1 competition is divided into two stages – Selection stage and Participation stage. The selection stage involves the registration, pre-audition, audition stages.
Just as with The Voice Nigeria season 4, the participation stage of The Voice Africa season 1 involves the following;
- The first begins with the blind audition
- The Battles
- The Knockouts
- The Live & Finals performance
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VOICE AFRICA SEASON 1
The requirement to become eligible to participate in The Voice Nigeria 2022 season 4 include the following;
- Participants must be a resident in any of the fourteen African countries with Airtel Africa presence
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age by 21st October 2022
- Participants must be ready to travel to Lagos Nigeria where the Blinds, Battles, Knockouts and Lives will take place
How To Register for the Voice Africa Season 1
Registration for the Voice Africa season 1 is open to 14 African countries where Airtel Africa has market presence. Participants for The Voice Africa Season 1 will require an Airtel line to register for the competition.
As part of the registration process, participants will be expected to submit a 1 minutes video of them singing.
