The Voice Nigeria is back with Season 3. The singing competition is returning with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show.

The competition which makes use of Celebrity musicians as coaches will return with two new exciting additions to the coaches.

How The Voice Nigeria Season 3 is Structured

The show’s innovative format features four stages of competition:

1. The first begins with the blind audition
2. The battle round
3. The brand new knockouts
4. The live performance

During the blind auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don’t get to see them — thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he/she pushes a button to select the artist for his/her team. At this point, the coach’s chair will swivel so that he/she can face the artist he/she has selected. If more than one coach pushes their button, the power then shifts to the artist to choose which coach they want to work with. If no coach pushes their button, the artist is eliminated from the competition.

Once the teams are set, the battle is on. Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice, and sharing the secrets of their success along with the help from their celebrity advisers. During the battle rounds the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a studio audience.

After the vocal battle, the coach must choose which of his/her singers will advance to the next round of competition, while the losing artist is available to be stolen by another coach. Each coach has two steals during the battle rounds.

Who is Eligible to participate in THE VOICE NIGERIA 2020?

THE VOICE NIGERIA 2020 is open to Nigerian Citizens who are 18-50 years old and have lived in Nigeria for 12 consecutive months prior to the date of registration. Kindly note families of TVN’ core team, staff, project and production team are not eligible to participate. NB. TVN has the sole discretion to make determinations of eligibility.

How To Register for The Voice Nigeria 2020?

Follow the registration instructions to register for The Voice Nigeria season 3;

1. Enter your account number to register on the TVN website

2. Fill Registration form

3. Upload a one minute video of yourself singing. The video must have not have any tuning or instrumental accompaniment

4. Wait to be contacted for the blind auditions

What happens after registration?

If your online registration is successful, you will receive a message confirming receipt of your application. It is important that you provide your primary mobile number and email address as we will use them to contact you. All applications will be processed and if shortlisted for the blind audition, you will receive an audition invitation with details.

When does The Voice Nigeria Season 3 Registration close?

Registration for The Voice Nigeria season 3 begins on August 25, 2020 and closes on September 19, 2020. Other details will be made available via the website.

Where will auditions take place?

Due to the social distancing rule there will be no physical pre-selection audition. All Auditions will be done online. All you have to do is register on the website.

What items am I required to bring to the audition?

The invitation to the audition will include details of the items required. There is also a checklist included in the registration form section on the website.

Is this audition the blind audition in front of coaches?

No. This initial audition will be carried out online. Selected talents will then be invited to the blind audition where the coaches will be present.

Can I apply using my stage name?

Yes, you can. You also have to provide the name that is on your government issued ID for proper identification.

If I am registering as a duo or trio, should we register separately or together?

If you are auditioning as a duo or trio, please follow these steps to onboard group members after registration.

Step 1: Complete your registration to create your profile

Step 2: ONE member of the group is required to create the group but ALL members must be registered.

Step 3: Click the ‘create group’ button on your profile to create a group.

Step 4: Invite the other members of your group using the invite field provided.

Group members will receive an email to accept the invitation, Once accepted, all members will be added to the group and can now operate as a group!

Application Closing Date: Saturday 19 September 2020. This date may be extended. It is however advised that you register as soon as possible.
